1. Introduction
PolyVerba ("PolyVerba," "we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, processed, shared, and protected when you use the PolyVerba mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
PolyVerba provides real-time language translation features, including spoken translation, camera-assisted translation, translation history, two-person translation, and multi-speaker meeting features.
By using PolyVerba, you acknowledge the data practices described in this Privacy Policy.
2. Information PolyVerba May Collect
The information processed by PolyVerba depends on which features you choose to use.
Account Information
If you create an account, PolyVerba may process:
- Email address
- User or account identifier
- Authentication and account-management information
This information is used to authenticate users, provide account features, synchronize supported information, maintain account security, prevent abuse, and manage the Service.
Translation and User-Generated Content
When you use translation features, PolyVerba may process text or other content that you provide or generate through the Service. Depending on your settings and the feature being used, translation or meeting history may be stored locally on your device or synchronized with PolyVerba's cloud services.
You can control supported history features through the application.
Voice and Audio
PolyVerba requests microphone access when you use spoken-language features. Audio may be transmitted to speech-processing or translation services when necessary to recognize speech and provide the requested translation.
Microphone access is not required when you are not using a feature that needs audio input.
Camera and Photos
PolyVerba may request camera or photo access when you use features such as Live Lens, sign translation, menu translation, or other camera-assisted translation features.
Images or image content may be processed as necessary to recognize and translate visible text. PolyVerba does not require camera access for ordinary text or voice translation features that do not use the camera.
3. Advertising and Google AdMob
The free version of PolyVerba may display advertisements using Google AdMob and the Google Mobile Ads SDK. Paid PolyVerba subscription tiers may be provided without advertising.
When advertising is enabled and an ad request is permitted, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect or share information such as:
- IP address, which may be used to estimate a device's approximate or general location;
- App and product interactions, such as app launches, taps, and advertising interactions;
- Diagnostic and performance information;
- Device and account identifiers, which may include the Android advertising ID, app set ID, or similar identifiers.
This information may be used for advertising or marketing, analytics, and fraud prevention, security, and compliance purposes.
Google states that information automatically collected by the Google Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit using Transport Layer Security (TLS).
Advertising identifiers may also be subject to controls provided by your device operating system.
For additional information about Google's privacy practices, visit: Google Privacy Policy.
4. Advertising Privacy Choices and Consent
PolyVerba uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to help present privacy and consent choices where required or applicable.
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may be presented with options concerning advertising consent, personalized advertising, the sale or sharing of personal information, or related privacy choices.
PolyVerba also provides a Privacy Choices option inside the application's Settings screen. Where supported, this allows you to review or change available advertising privacy choices.
Your device or operating system may provide additional controls for advertising identifiers and advertising personalization.
5. Approximate Location
PolyVerba does not require precise GPS location for its core translation features.
Advertising services may process an IP address and use it to estimate the approximate or general location of a device for advertising, analytics, fraud prevention, security, or compliance purposes.
6. Diagnostics and App Interactions
Advertising and service providers may process diagnostic information and information about interactions with the application. This may include information related to app launches, taps, performance, stability, or similar technical events.
Such information may be used to provide and improve services, measure performance, support advertising and analytics, and detect or prevent fraud or abuse.
7. Subscriptions and Purchases
PolyVerba may offer paid subscriptions or other purchases through Google Play or other supported application marketplaces.
PolyVerba uses RevenueCat to help manage subscription status and entitlements. RevenueCat may process technical information, app user identifiers when supplied by PolyVerba, and transaction information such as purchase tokens or receipt information as necessary to determine subscription status and provide subscription functionality.
Payment-card information used for purchases through Google Play is processed by the applicable marketplace or payment provider. PolyVerba does not directly receive or store your complete payment-card number for Google Play purchases.
For more information about RevenueCat's privacy practices, visit: RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
8. Cloud Services and Account Synchronization
PolyVerba uses third-party infrastructure and cloud service providers to provide features such as authentication, account management, database storage, synchronization, translation, speech processing, application hosting, and related functionality.
These providers may process information on PolyVerba's behalf as necessary to provide the requested Service.
PolyVerba uses Supabase for supported authentication, database, and cloud synchronization functionality.
For more information, visit: Supabase Privacy Policy.
9. Speech, Translation, and Related Service Providers
PolyVerba may transmit audio, text, images, or other content to third-party service providers when necessary to perform speech recognition, translation, text recognition, or related functionality requested by you.
Only information reasonably necessary to provide the requested feature is intended to be transmitted for those purposes.
10. How We Use Information
PolyVerba may use information to:
- Provide real-time translation and related functionality;
- Create, authenticate, secure, and manage user accounts;
- Synchronize supported translation and meeting history;
- Provide subscription features and determine subscription status;
- Display advertising to eligible free-tier users;
- Provide analytics and understand application interactions;

- Prevent fraud, abuse, and security threats;

11. When Information May Be Shared
PolyVerba may share or allow processing of information by service providers when reasonably necessary to operate the Service. Depending on the feature being used, these providers may include cloud hosting, authentication, database, speech-processing, translation, advertising, analytics, subscription-management, and application-marketplace providers.
For example, advertising-related information may be shared with Google and applicable advertising partners when AdMob advertising is used.
We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, legal process, enforceable government requests, protect users or the public, enforce our rights, investigate fraud or security issues, or protect the integrity of the Service.
12. Sale or Sharing for Advertising Purposes
Some U.S. state privacy laws use terms such as "sale," "sharing," or "targeted advertising" broadly enough that certain advertising technology practices may fall within those definitions even when no money is exchanged for personal information.
Where applicable, PolyVerba provides privacy choices through Google's consent and privacy tools and through the Privacy Choices entry in the PolyVerba application.
13. Data Security
PolyVerba uses reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information handled through the Service. Information transmitted between the application and supported online services is transmitted using encrypted network connections where supported.
No electronic transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
14. Data Retention
PolyVerba retains account and user information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain legitimate business and security records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
Some translation or meeting history may remain on your device until you delete it, clear application data, uninstall the application, or otherwise remove it using available device or application controls. Cloud-synchronized information may remain until deleted in accordance with available account or deletion procedures, subject to legitimate backup, security, fraud-prevention, or legal retention requirements.
Third-party service providers may maintain information according to their own retention requirements and applicable agreements.
15. Account and Data Deletion
Users may request deletion of their PolyVerba account and associated account data.
Account deletion instructions are available at: https://jav1669.github.io/delete-account.html .

Certain information may be retained when reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or other purposes permitted or required by law.
16. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, applicable privacy laws may provide rights concerning your personal information. These may include rights to request access, correction, deletion, or information about how your personal information is processed, as well as certain rights to object to or opt out of particular processing.
Applicable rights vary by jurisdiction and may be subject to legal exceptions and identity-verification requirements.
To submit a privacy request, contact: jakevierzba@gmail.com.
17. European Privacy Rights
Individuals in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, Switzerland, or other jurisdictions with similar privacy laws may have rights regarding access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection to certain processing, subject to applicable law.
Where consent is the applicable basis for advertising-related processing, users may be provided mechanisms to provide, refuse, or withdraw consent through Google's consent-management tools.
18. U.S. State Privacy Rights
Residents of certain U.S. states may have rights to request information about personal data practices, access or delete certain personal information, correct certain information, or opt out of certain forms of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising, subject to applicable law.
Where applicable, advertising privacy choices may be presented through Google's privacy messaging system and PolyVerba's in-app Privacy Choices option.
19. Children's Privacy
PolyVerba is not directed to children under 13, and the Service is intended for users age 13 and older.
We do not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that personal information from a child under 13 has been collected in circumstances requiring deletion, we will take reasonable steps to address the information as required by applicable law.
If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to PolyVerba, please contact jakevierzba@gmail.com.
20. International Processing
PolyVerba and its service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Data-protection laws in those locations may differ from the laws where you live.
Where required, service providers and PolyVerba are expected to use appropriate mechanisms for international processing or transfer of personal information.
21. Third-Party Services
PolyVerba relies on third-party services to provide portions of the Service. Those companies maintain their own privacy policies and data practices.
PolyVerba's use of third-party providers may change as the Service develops. This Privacy Policy may therefore be updated when providers, features, or data practices materially change.
22. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to PolyVerba, applicable laws, third-party services, advertising practices, or other operational requirements.
When the policy is updated, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be changed. Material changes may also be communicated through the Service when appropriate or required.
